Hi [CUSTNAME],
Thank you for getting back in touch, it’s good to hear from you.
We’ve put a few quotes together for you in the past and I noticed we haven’t had the chance to look after your car yet. No problem at all - choosing the right garage is a big decision and we know we’re not the cheapest option locally. What we do promise is that every car gets the manufacturer’s workshop procedure followed properly, genuine or OE quality parts, a free safety and service check, a courtesy car and a full valet before you collect it. That’s why our customers tend to stay with us once they’ve tried us.
Before I put another quote together, it would really help to know what’s held you back previously. Was it price, timing, or something else entirely? Honest feedback is genuinely useful to us, and it also helps me make sure the next quote actually fits what you need.
Give me a quick reply or a ring on 01635 778002 and we’ll take it from there.
Direct qualifier - Straight to the point. Acknowledges the pattern, asks the qualifying question directly and offers to have the conversation before investing time in another quote. Best used when you suspect they may be shopping around for the cheapest price.

Before we quote again
Email body
Hi [CUSTNAME],
Thanks for getting in touch.
Looking back through our records, we’ve quoted for you a few times now and not yet had the chance to carry out the work. That’s absolutely fine, but before I put the team on preparing another one, could I ask you a quick question?
Is there something specific that’s stopped you booking with us previously? If it’s price, I’d rather have that conversation up front so I can explain what’s included and where we sit against the alternatives. If it’s something else, I’d genuinely like to know so we can do better.
Once I’ve got a better idea of what you’re looking for, I’ll happily get a fresh quote across to you.
Short and friendly - The lightest touch. Warm, brief and non-pressuring. Asks the qualifying question without the full value pitch. Best used when the relationship feels positive and you just want a quick steer before investing more time.

Hi [CUSTNAME],
Good to hear from you again. I can see we’ve quoted a few times before without getting the chance to work on your car, which is no problem at all.
Before I get another quote sorted, could you let me know what’s held you back previously? Whether it was price, timing, or something else, it really helps us understand whether we’re the right fit for what you need.
Drop me a line back and we’ll go from there.
