- Operation checks, including measuring the temperature coming from the internal vents, so we know exactly how the system is performing.
- A full global fault code scan of the vehicle, to pull any stored faults the system has logged.
- System pressure checks, measuring how much gas is in your system against the manufacturer’s desired figures.
- A vacuum hold test, which checks the integrity of the system by holding it under vacuum and watching for any drop.
- A 30 minute high pressure test using a nitrogen/hydrogen leak trace mix, to properly stress the system and reveal even the smallest leaks.
- Visual leak inspection using hydrogen detection equipment.
- A pollen filter condition check, so you know whether it needs attention. If it does need replacing we will tell you first, so there are no surprises (this would be an additional cost if required).

Hi [CUSTNAME],
Thanks for getting in touch about your air conditioning not working.
When a system has stopped cooling, it is not a case of simply adding more gas. Something has usually gone wrong, and putting gas into a faulty system would not be safe, legal or lasting. So before we quote a penny of repair work, we find out exactly what is wrong. That is what our air conditioning fault finding is for, and it is charged at £144 including VAT. This fee covers the diagnosis itself and is separate from the cost of any repair you go on to have.
